JOSHUA LARUE || Teaching: The Vigil, Hunter School, Yr1 (Closed to Hikaru, feel free to observe)
He walks in dressed in casual wear: his favorite jeans, Converse sneakers that are less than a year old, a blue shirt that has the name of his Alma Mater printed in small white font. He goes the relaxed route, actually sits on the table and pulls out his phone where he's got his class list and reminds himself that he was in high school once, and that his favorite teachers were the ones who you knew never to cross, but were nevertheless approachable. ]
Okay, I'll lay out the House Rules: [ That's his Listen Up voice. Thank you, football, for giving him the skill to manage over twenty-people. ] First, I'm Joshua LaRue, and I'll be teaching you all about the Vigil for the three terms. I'm okay with you calling me Mr. Larue or Josh, just pick whichever you're comfortable with and stick with it.
Second, your grades are not in my hands -- they're in yours. Work for a high mark, that'll reflect. Think you can snooze through my class, don't come asking me why you didn't make it.
[ Leaning forward now, forearms resting on his knees. ]
Finally, I'd like to get to know each one of you so we'll do a round and you can the whole class your name, what skill you're most proud of, and then I'd like you to share one story about the Vigil that's stuck with you.

His sister, though...Granted, he never told his boy, and he's pretty sure that Josh didn't check. So he's going to carry on with his business: the class discussions are getting interesting.
By the way, Mr. LaRue: your boy probably makes quite the sight right now. ]
no subject
It is so weird. He feels a little like something put on display. ]
Well, we are discussing history where it concerns everything in the Vigil and that means recent events count.
I guess you would have been nine or ten at the time. But yeah, it was pretty scary.
[ That's of course the moment that he decides to glance to the side.
The thing about Balamb is that the classrooms are all made of reinforced glass. So yep, he sees you. ]

Oh, and that necklace he wears? The one with the ring, and the dogtags. He sometimes forgets to take that off when you're fucking him, doesn't he? It's hanging out in plain sight right now, from around that neck that you really love to kiss. ]

Turning back to class now and catching the question that's directed his way.
"What was it like for you sir? Amadeus' attack." ]
Frustrating. [ Crippling fear had made him angry, nervous, anxious. Coach had gone quiet in his head. ] And frightening.
But you get a lot of moments like that when you become a Hunter.
It helps though, that my blade was there. [ Because back then the Voices In THe Hounds' Heads club were effectively part of that. ]
no subject
Back where you are, Josh, two girls are taking express notice of how handsome the Blade King looks today. Among other Things. ]
no subject
Turning his attention to the next kid who introduces himself as Adam, his best skill is solving puzzles and who shares that his favorite story from Vigil history is the Battle of Manila Bay. The kid's so shiny-eyed it's pretty obvious that he looks happy to be able to share the story In Case The Others Don't Know It. ]
no subject
It's hard not to put his chin on his hand and smile. His
boyman looks really, really good today....Suffice to say, those girls in your class, Mr. LaRue, have noticed. The giggling has continued. ]
no subject
Listening to the next couple of kids now and doing his best not to be tempted to sneak glances your way, Mr. Shinta.
( These rooms are awful. Didn't the designer ever consider that glass walls would mean people could easily get distracted with whatever might be going on in the other room? ) ]
no subject
Not a single wasted movement, as always.
And yes, those girls are definitely distracted. ]
no subject
It has some effect -- some. They're ducking their heads now and dropping their voices low enough that they're less distracting. ]
no subject
Yes, he's back to watching you for a bit. Yes, now you might make the connection that there's something else that's got those girls in your class all in a tizzy by now, since they're reacting. Heck, you'll even hear it:
"It's just like that doujin they released last month!"
You're a smart one, Mr. LaRue. You put it all together. ]
no subject
One day. One day, he just might strangle his sister, Jill and Eve.
This is getting a little bit disruptive though, so he's going to finish that row and change it up a little, because he's nice but he's hardly a pushover. ]
Girls, since you're so intent on talking and not listening to your classmates, maybe you two would like to go ahead with your introductions instead.
[ That, Mr. LaRue, is your Persona covering his face with both paws inside your headspace. ]
no subject
"S-sorry, Inquisitor LaRue..."
Then this incredibly contrite pair of fangirls is doing exactly what they're told.
By the way: your boyfriend? He definitely saw all of that. ]
no subject
( And what if the children had given you sass? )
I don't want to think about it.
He doesn't want to think about the word doujin, period.
Cat's out of the bag now though, so he'll hazard a glance to the room next door.
Hi, you. ]
no subject
You probably know your boy well enough to figure out that this is exactly what he's thinking. ]
