[ She is keeping her head down and her attention focused on those cookies and milk Teacher Aria because if she looks up she knows she will want to stare at the beautiful white wolf and staring is... impolite.

She does, however, perk up when you single out her new friend. She likes Rin. He's nice and has a pretty dragon ( her name is Match/Madge. ) ]

[ You might notice that you're not the only one who seems particularly interested in the fact that Aria is speaking to Rin. The girl in the pretty black dress with a beautiful big black dragon is also straightening up even more in her seat. She's a few columns away from you, and see and Rin seemed to recognize her --

-- then again, you might just recognize her too, huh? You've met before. She's also, as Alistair promised, in your class with the Blade King as well. ]

That is Hotaru Fukuzawa and she is as beautiful as Lyall remembers from their previous meetings at her King's family's house. She was watching you earlier, as discreetly as she could but felt too awkward to come by to say hello. She had sighted you first, right as she was walking into the Kaiser's class, when she finally looked up from the two small axes that your other elder brother had gifted her during his class.

She has been quietly wondering at your state of dress, different as it is from the others in the room. She cannot help but think that you would fit right in at the Court of the Lightless Lands. ]

[ While Hotaru's focused on the discussion between Aria and Rin, Thanatos is free to look around --

-- and its yellow eyes are zoning in on you. Tilt head.

Huh. The child of the Blade King. How interesting. ]

[ UMMMMM.

Okay, she's turning her attention back to class now.

It is not polite to stare, Lyall. You should know better. ]

[ It's Thanatos' amused chuckling in her head that catches her attention.

Turning in your direction now, and waving with a little smile. ]

Have a little wave right back before she'a ducking her head again.

She should probably not be this shy, but it is Difficult. You are older than she and more graceful than she could ever hope to be. But she is smiling because she realizes that it is nice that you remembered her. ]

[ Sometime after, when it seems as though the Q&A has stopped and Teacher Aria seems content with letting the kids mingle, Hotaru stands up, smooths out her skirts, and walks right over. ]

It's nice to see that we're classmates.

[ Have a smile that is three-fourths awkward and one-fourth HELP. There was no need for you to come over, really. But now you're here and she's not quite sure what to say.

How are you settling in?

[ Concerned, of course. She automatically likes you because her brother likes you. ]

I am enjoying school.

She should add more. ]

My classes so far have been going well. I... like it here.

It is nice here, isn't it? I'm starting to view this place as my second home.

[ Because New Atlantis. ]

[ A-ah...! She remembers the Fukuzawa home, but you had not been around at the time she accompanied her King.

She offers you a shy and quiet nod. She never had a "home" before this place, actually--

--blinking a little as she thinks to herself: Home. Can she even call the house in the West District that? It is not "hers", per se. It belongs to Josh and her King. ]

What... what was your first home like?

Oh, very different from this place. It's hotter because it's tropical, and there are dragons everywhere.

[ And she speaks of it with clear fondness. ]

I should actually be staying there in New Atlantis, but Father and Brother both think it best if I begin my education here in Balamb first, since I have finished my studies at the Heartspire.

[lyall]

[ Dragons u-u ]

New Atlantis sounds... beautiful.

[ She's clearly in awe and not bothering to hide it. You are sister to her King, there is no need to hide. ]

It is. Shall we go sometime?

[ Like it's totally a done deal. ]

[lyall]

[ U-um! ]

That... would be nice.

[ She will have to ask for permission.

Looking down at her hands, brow furrowing as she thinks a little bit more on that. ]

W-will... mm-- will your brother [ that sounds so terribly strange ] come with us?

Of course he will! He'll have to help me show you around.

[ ...But she's not going to mention how she knows, for a fact, that it would be good for him to be with you.

Yes, she's pretty perceptive for a child. ]

[lyall]

[ That... makes her happy. And it shows. ]

I would like that, very much.

[ The Fukuzawas are all such lovely people u-u ]

Josh should come too, and perhaps Father will be able to take off for a bit in order to be with us as well.

[ She does not bother mentioning her mother: that's a given. She also doesn't bother mentioning her siblings, because they are busy now. ]

[ There's a smile tugging at her lips at this point because the idea of going to see New Atlantis with her King, with Josh, with your father and yourself is something that appeals very much.

This is her looking back up to you now and smiling, and then turning her eyes to your dragon and smiling at that one as well. ]

[ Thanatos, in turn, dips his head in greeting. ]

I look forward to being classmates with you for the rest of the year, Lyall. Maybe we can help each other out when things get difficult.

[ A slow, earnest nod. ]

I would like that very much.

[ She really, really would. ]

Maybe I can... sit near you next time?

[ Because Rin is her seatmade in the Kaiser's class and Kitty is her seatmate in her King's class. ]

[ Then, with a little chuckle: ]

And by tomorrow, I'll have my uniform, so I'll blend in easier just like you are.

[ Is she beaming? Yes, she most definitely is. ]

[ Because this is kind of the last of your classes for the day. ]
