If you want. Hope I don't slow you down.
[That's... not how you don't screw things up, self.]
trips in here
[ Sophie says the word as both a passing greeting and an announcement they are teaming up. Segan might be blunt, but Sophie isn't even stopping to give them a choice for now. She'd rather do this alone but maybe it was better to start off without having to shoot her roommate...who was probably better at guns than herself.
Sophie simply has a handgun, because she knows that bigger guns will probably get in her way anyway. She's probably going to try and physically overpower whoever gets too close to her anyway.
Oh hey, there's someone else here. ]
So I guess it's us three, then?
tagging order: segan > ela > sophie
Looks like it! I can take care of long shots, and you can go for the short ones.
[ Yes, Segan seems perfectly content with calling the shots. Speaking of... turning to the other girl now. ]
Um, what's your name? I guess you'll be cover fire for Sophie, and mid range for our team.
ou!
[She totally forgot to ask your names. Um.]

Segan, Sophie. Nice to meet you, Ela.
[ She turns to Segan; girl knows her guns. She can appreciate that. ]
Sounds like a plan. Anybody gets too close and they'll have to deal with me.
no subject
[ Time's almost up. She takes another cursory look around the area, mind already occupied with some quick, economical calculations. ]
Let's get into position already and wait for the countdown. Suggestions on where to go, guys?
[ Angela Brennan, after all, did not mention that being against the rules. Some of the other teams have started moving. ]

Shadows. I can hide us there. Find the darkest, most trafficked path. We could maybe spring an ambush from there.
Then, out loud:]
I think we should stick to well-lit places? They can see us, but we can also see them, right?
no subject
We might as well lure the reckless in first, I suppose. Bigger teams will try to surround us. but they'll risk losing cover at the same time. As long as everyone keeps everyone else's backs covered we should be fine.
[ And she looks at Segan as if waiting for the girl's input. ]
no subject
That sounds like a good strategy. We'll stick to where we've got a clear line of sight too.
[ With a particular smile at Ela now before focusing on getting them to their destination. She got your message: she approves. ]

... Granted, Segan and Sophie both do seem to be exceptional.
Guess we'll see...
She nods at Segan once, briskly, once she catches that look. Glad to meet people who get things.
With that, she does a quick check of her guns, then safeties them and walks with them pointed down. As exercises in violence go, this one won't involve people dying (probably). She is surprised to be okay with that and wonders if it's because of the people she's with.]
no subject
Besides, just because it's a paintball game it doesn't mean she's limited to just shooting. ]
Oh, before we run out of time. Ela, what sort of supernatural are you? I'm a Bladian, myself. [ She'll let Segan talk about herself if she wants to, but Sophie is a bit curious, plus knowing as much as possible never hurts, she figures. ]
no subject
The buzzer goes just as she's found a good spot for all of them. Setting up now, and glancing over at Ela just as the firefights start in the other areas. ]
Spell: Shadow Sculpting | Roll: Gnosis(7) + Death(6) + Ext. Affinity(3) = 5 successes
In Sophie's head:
Moros mage. Demon, numbering among the Thrones.]
Activating Heightened Senses, no roll.
She then takes a breath, focuses and allows her senses to expand, focusing mostly on her sight and hearing. Letting out her breath, she takes in every little detail. ]

Time to test something.
Ela, if you can hear me: can you set a network up for us? ]
Spell: Network | Roll: Gnosis(7) + Mind(5) = 7 successes
She gives an imperceptible nod. A moment later, the three of you can hear each others' thoughts so well that it would definitely be disconcerting. On a moment's reflection, Ela puts up a box of sorts between your minds, where all communication between the three of you can go.
Is this what you intended, Segan? Sophie, you can hear us?
In her mind and outside the box, she thinks that this teamwork thing is working out pretty nicely, and really probably because of present company.]
DYNAMIC ENTRY! (Will I have to roll to see how many guns he was able to conceal on his person?)
He's just finished stuffing as many small arms into his clothes as he can, and is darting in and out of cover like some killer meerkat. ]
No, you don't. Tagging order: Mason > Segan > Aura > Ela.
They could use another man. ]
Hearing you loud and clear. Stay dark: going to see if I can rope another ally in. If I'm caught out, adjust your tactics accordingly.
[ Waiting until Mason is close enough, and then, when she's right within arm's reach: ]
Need a team, Turner? If you do, nod and take six steps back.
Ela, rope him in if he says yes. If not, we're moving away and leaving him high and dry.
Re: No, you don't. Tagging order: Mason > Segan > Aura > Ela.
