OTHER NOTES: Oh Freddy, what are you getting yourself into???
[Dinner was a subdued business affair at first; there's just so many things that need to get done for it to have been anything else. In time, as the clients' problems are squared out and the pleadings checked and double-checked, Cen Profaci takes his leave of Freddy, but not before ribbing him, again, about his need to find a blade now. Eh, what else can one do when one's boss enlists the head of the gottverdammte conspiracy to tell you to partner up?
You catch his eye the moment you arrive, when you announced your presence perhaps fifty percent more loudly than was strictly necessary. He saw you walk by once, twice, and saw in the way that you walked an indifference to hiding your fangs. That, to him, made you extremely interesting.
After Cen's gone, he looks around for you, but you aren't around. He had hoped to meet you, finally, after all the overheard baby-talk in Cen's office. Now he had, but you didn't get to talk. Ah well.
He decides to do another once-over of the pleadings on the desk before he heads back to the Shatterdome. He gathers them up and steps out into the balcony, rapidly reading the papers in the lamplight while smoking a filterless cigarette.]
