[ At the risk of sounding creepy, he spends the last two hours before he crashes for the night watching Hikaru curled up beside him in bed. There's something about being in the same space again that feels surreal, but he's chalking that up to a year apart, stilted texts, awkward presents sent via post and enough hours clocked on the I Miss Him So Bad counter it could rival his cumulative work hours at Rhiannon.
He slips off into a dreamless sleep around half past one, his nose pressed into Hikaru's hair and his arms wrapped snugly around the Blade King's shoulders. Somewhere there, he whispers 'I love you,' into the night, even if he's pretty sure that his boy's out cold.
The sun's up when he wakes, but the angle is low enough that he's certain he can still call for room service for breakfast. He's not going to wake that one prematurely. Yesterday was emotionally exhausting, and that Hikaru had been shy the whole span of dinner is indicative enough of how it's the wiser decision to take everything slow.
He's in the shower by the time 10AM rolls around. Yes, the food's gone cold, but he couldn't very well get for himself and forget all about you. ]
